Advenst Zinc-Air Batteries
We are developing a scalable and sustainable solution for stationary energy storage based on rechargeable Zinc-Air Batteries (ZAB) optimized for high depth of discharge and high cycle life. Using abundant and safe zinc metal, ZAB technology is a promising alternative for stationary energy storage applications from kilowatt to megawatt ranges. Advenst is developing technologies to overcome problems of zinc anode and gas diffusion electrode limiting their cycle life, manufacturing ZABs with an integrated BMS/EMS system and IoT platform to ensure a real time monitoring and management of the battery system to meet the requirement of today’s stationary energy storage needs.
Our composite zinc electrode with a novel separator suppresses dendritic growth of zinc and improves cyclability of the anode.
Our patent pending novel gas diffusion layer improve electrochemical performance and stability of gas diffusion electrode (air electrodes) by enhancing oxygen transport and reducing carbon corrosion. Our bifunctional cathode provides improved cycle life which is essential for long term energy storage.

In addition to our core ZAB technology, we also offer energy storage solutions based on conventional battery chemistries.
Advenst has agreements with leading domestic and international battery manufacturers and is able to offer state of the art Lithium-ion (LCO, LMO, NMC, LFP, NCA and LTO), Nickel-Zinc and Lead-Acid (VRLA, GEL, AGM) storage solutions that can be used in a variety of applications.
